My blog, From Jupiter With Love, is a place to share my artwork and photography, and I’m so happy that you stopped by!

My inspiration is drawn from the coastal landscapes of the southern Florida coast and the mountain ranges and plains of Colorado and the Southwest.  I’m also an avid photographer, continually exploring the uncommon and overlooked, and like to use my photography as a starting point to transform my artistic vision from camera lens to painted canvas. I engage a creative process that prompts unique and unexpected results, which is at the very heart of my passion for painting.

I hail from the hills of Eastern Kentucky and the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia, and received my undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  I spent my career in the Washington, D.C. area as a consultant in the information technology industry. Having pursued my artistic spirit and creativity most of my life, I now live full-time in beautiful Jupiter, Florida.

I create abstract compositions using acrylic, oil, ink, watercolor, and collage that echo my visual experiences in daily life. I think of my art as a way of bringing the outside to the inside with the power of color, the contemplation of movement and shape, and the interest of texture. My artwork feeds my soul daily, and my hope is that it adds something special to your life, speaking to you as it has to me, giving you a visual pick-me-up that evokes joy, escape, and a colorful interpretation unique to you.
